INTRODUCTION TO THE QUANTIC GROUP :
Quantic is a group comprising various companies created with the intention of forming the core of an oil organization active in all levels of activities traditionally associated with companies present in this sector.

Quantic Oil SAL is the representative office in the Middle East which perfoms the function of administrative center of operations.
Quantic Finance Ltd registered in the British Virgin Islands, acts both as a holding company and also as a commercial company from offices in Beirut and London. In addition to its holding in Quantic Oil Ltd Bahamas, as detailed below, it has significant participations in other companies such as:
a. Soco International plc, an oil production company listed on the London Stock Exchange, in which Quantic is a significant shareholder. Furthermore, the shareholders of Quantic also hold major participations in Soco. Soco owns 34 % of Odex Exploration Limited, a specific purpose upstream joint-venture formed by Oilinvest (owning 46%), Soco NA (owning 34%) and Gazprombank Moscow(owning 20%) to identify, develop, produce and market hydrocarbon opportunities in Libya and other countries.
b. Soco Congo Ltd, an oil production company registered in the British Virgin Islands and acting as a commercial company from its offices in London. Soco Congo Ltd is formed by Quantic (owning 15%) and Soco Exploration and Production Congo SA (Soco EPC) (owning 85%). Soco Congo is very active in Congo Brazzaville, especially in:
• Marine XI: Since March 2008 it entered into an agreement to farm-out an 8,5% interest from its 37,5% in Marine XI to Petrovietnam Exploration Production Corporation Ltd. It remains as operator with a 29% working interest. The remaining interests are held by the National Oil Company, Societe Nationale des Petroles du Congo (SNPC) (15%), Africa Oil and Gas Corporation (10%), Raffia Oil SARL (18,75%) and a subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum (18,75%).
• Marine XIV: In September 2008, Soco Congo Ltd entered into a farm-in agreement to acquire a 29,4% working interest in the Marine XIV block from PA Resources Congo SA (PA Congo). In March 2009 it became the operator of the Block, with PA Congo retaining a 12,5% interest and SNPC holding a 15% carried interest. The remaining interests are held by fellow farm-in participants and Soco’s Marine XI joint venture partners, Raffia Oil SARL (21,55%) and a subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum (21,55%).
c. Soco Congo DRC, an oil production company registered in the British Virgin Islands and acting as a commercial company from its offices in London. Soco Congo DRC is formed by Quantic (owning 15%) and Soco Exploration and Production Congo SA (Soco EPC) (owning 85%). It has many interests in Congo DRC mainly:
• Nganzi block: The Nganzi block covers 800 square Kilometres, onshore western DRC. Soco is designated operator with an 85% working interest. Cohydro, the state owned oil company, holds the remaining 15% interest.
• Other blocks: in March 2008, Soco DRC entered into a new production sharing contract (PSC) with the Government of the DRC, Dominion Petroleum Limited (Dominion) and Cohydro, to acquire exclusive rights for hydrocarbon exploration on Block 5, located in the southern Albertine Graben in eastern DRC adjacent to the border with Uganda where there have been recent discoveries in the same basin. Soco DRC holds a 38,25% participating interest in the PSC with Dominion, as operator, holding a 46,75% interest and Cohydro holding the remaining 15% interest.
d. Carbon Resource Management Ltd (CRM) a UK company, involved in carbon emissions certificate trading in which Quantic is a significant shareholder (10%). CRM currently manages its business from offices in London, and has a strong presence in Chinese projects.
Quantic Ltd BVI, has over the last five years carried out numerous trading operations involving African, Libyan and Russian crude oil.
Quantic Oil Bahamas, is an affiliate of Quantic Finance. It is in charge of selling crude oil in South-East Asia.
Quantic Oil Trading DMCC, (Quantic DMCC), an affiliate of Quantic Finance, newly registered in Dubai, U.A.E. Quantic Dubai is dealing in the area of energy commodity trading, namely oil , oil products and, to a lesser extent, gas and carbon emissions in South America.
